Pela Sells Out (in a good way)
Pela wrapped up their tour by headlining a sellout show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. The lads will now be taking some time off to record their next album but may just sneak a show or two in over the next couple of months. We’ll be taking a break from the tour blog until the next tour. Watch the main website and sign up for the mailing list for the latest news.

Pela Live at Easy Street Records
Just before their performance at the KEXP BBQ, the lads did an acoustic show at Easy Street Records. Check out their version of the Pixies “Holiday”.
KEXP has been featuring the artists that performed at their BBQ on their daily blog. Today is Pela’s turn.
We want to thank Shifted Sound, and especially Shelby Miller for all of their support and generosity. We were invited to come down to Dallas in the beginning of this tour to perform a couple of acoustic songs for Shelby’s podcast Shifted Sound.
Shelby has been a huge supporter of Pela for well over a year now and in return, we hope everyone reading this takes the time to go over to shiftedsound.com to support his efforts.
We will be organizing a show with Shelby in Dallas some time in the New Year, something to make up for our canceled show at The Cavern.
You can listen to the acoustic performance and interview in this edition of Shifted Sound (#074) or you can download it on iTunes.
Check out John in the Morning’s comments on the KEXP BBQ and the insanity during the Pela performance.
Hey all. So here we are rolling into Minnesota. We’re playing in lovely Minneapolis tonight. The tour’s been great. We’ve been doing our best to keep the tour blog up-to-date. It’s been pretty overwhelming. The shows have been unreal.
Last we wrote you we were going through the difficult time of parting ways with Tom. We weren’t really sure what to do, but that all changed last week.
Tom is not leaving Pela.
Crazy right? Our brother in arms is not going anywhere and we couldn’t be happier. Part of the adventure in life is to live without regret. Well, Tom felt that if he passed this up he’d be regretting it down the road. We’ve all been working so hard for the past 4 years, and we are not going anywhere. So when you see Tom, not only say hello but give him a hug and a congratulations. He’s a great person and our brother.

We would like to thank everyone that came down to Easy Street Records for our acoustic performance the morning of the KEXP BBQ.
Easy Street Records has been huge supporters of Anytown Graffiti and we can’t thank them enough for their efforts.
Nate has done an interview with Reveille Magazine, a Twin Cities music blog. You can read it here.
