Hey all. We’ve been incommunicado recently. Sorry about that. Billy’s hand has been healing and we are very happy to say the healing process couldn’t have gone better. We’ve been back in the rehearsal space playing new songs, old songs, and other people’s songs. We can not wait to get on the road in the next few weeks. We’re excited to announce an additional date on our tour! Drum roll… Yes, Seattle! Not only are we doing the Sasquatch Festival but for those who can’t make it out to The Gorge, we’ll be rolling into Seattle the day before our Sasquatch appearance. We’re doing a special night at the Tractor Tavern on Sunday, May 25. Tickets are on sale now so get them and come and hang out with us because we like you.
Thanks again for all the support. We are truly excited to see you all in the next month. Stay in touch. xo

The Mystery of the Poster.
After our show at the Williamsburg Music Hall we found a bundle of these posters with our stuff. Each poster was individually made. We took them with us to Chicago and gave them out to people in the audience. Now, as fate will have it, they will mark a notorious show.
If you or someone you know created these posters please let us know. We would like to formally thank you.

Also, here is a link to photos from Shubas. These photos were taken by Kari Wall. Kari’s friend won tickets to see us in Chicago. She even joined us on stage for a couple of shots. Thanks Kari.

We are writing to you as our van heads back to New York. Billy has already returned to New York via plane, and is preparing for surgery.During last night’s show at Schuba’s in Chicago Billy fell off the stage, landing on a broken pint glass. This happened during the triumphant finale of the set; the stage was crowded with people dancing and singing to ‘Cavalry’, while a strobe light turned their vision into a cut screen movie. His left hand has a gash on the palm, and a deep slice in his pinky finger which also cut tendons. We regrettably must announce that Schuba’s was the last night of the tour.We promise to make up each and every show as soon as possible and apologize to everyone who purchased tickets. Arrangements are being made with all of the clubs on how best to handle the situation. We will have more information soon.Webmaster note: you can send your best wishes to billy@pelamusic.com and I’ll forward them to him.

We’ve added one more date to the tour. This one’s at the Jackpot Saloon in Lawrence, KS. We’ll be supporting Travis Morrison (formerly of Dismemberment Plan). Also on the bill is Giant Squid.
You can stop watching this space now, but be sure to come back. We’ll have a big announcement soon.

The Beachfront Ballroom in Cleveland has been added to the tour roster. We’ll be there on March 13th. Also, please note that we’ve flipped the dates on the shows at Johnny Brenda’s and the Rock & Roll hotel. The original dates were in error.
We should have one more announcement in the next couple of days - keep watching.

We’ve added two more shows to our tour, Johnny Brenda’s in Philly and the Rock and Roll Hotel in DC. See the sidebar for details. We’ll also be announcing a couple more shows some time next week. Watch this space …
… seriously, don’t do anything else. Just sit here and stare at the space until we announce the new shows. It’s a Zen thing.

Hello friends,
We found out the beloved Crocodile Cafe in Seattle is now closed. We were just on our way to play there in February. For us to headline there was a personal dream of mine and we were only 3 months away. Living in Seattle, I saw many shows there and held it in my heart ever since.I think i saw some history there back in the day, and it was a shared feeling. It hit me hard because in NYC we lost CBGB’s recently too.
So Seattle we feel you…its a damn shame. For young upstarts in like myself the Crocodile was THE place, I think like it was a right of passage to roll up with rock and roll dreams in my eyes and ask “Hey are you guys hiring?”…Jeez it coulda been so cool, but i never got a call…..shit i woulda done dishes, mopped floors, whatever…..just being in that place made me feel good.I met so many of my heroes there. Well, So long to the “Croc” you will be missed.I’m proud to have shared some amazing times with you.
Your fan,
Billy McCarthy
