Tour Wrap-up

282132461_2390447701.jpg
Having left a path of total destruction in their wake, our heros are headed home. The photo was shot by the soon-to-be-bankrupt Brendon McCrory who shot over 60 rolls of film. You can read his wrap-up on his MySpace blog and see more of his photos on Flickr. There’s also some photos from WOXY where the boys once again performed in their underwear.

D.C.

Today has been an interesting one. A lot of things to talk about on the road. Last nights show was so awesome and I think its gonna stick in our minds as one of, if not the best show the band has played on the road within recent memory. A definite highlight of the tour so far.

We had a bit of road to cover today giving all of us a lot to think about concerning things to come in the future, both inevitable and uncertain. I think its a difficult thing to feel completely content with everything that could be going too happen in the future without having an idea of what the future holds.

We spent some time today listening to the songs for the album and working on the sequence and order of songs. By the end of the drive from Pittsburgh to Washington, its looking like there is a lineup that at least from my perspective is looking pretty amazing. I’m kind of looking at things a little more in depth, as well for what its worth just to offer a very knowledgeable yet outside opinion on it all. I think theres a lot more going on to this album than immediately meets the eye right now. I’m personally really excited about how the end result of its album proposes to be.

I didn’t take too many photos today. Its been pretty rainy today and on top of that, I’m kind of running low on film. We didn’t really see too much of DC proper yet. We got in late and decided to take it easy tonight. Eric and I cooked some food that came out pretty awesome and now were watching “Lebowski” right now. Nate is pretty crashed out at the moment. Hes easily one that’s out for the count when the opportunity comes up. I wish I could sleep as easily as he can. Regardless, I think sleep is gonna be really nice here tonight. Toms friend who’s putting us up for the night is really nice. I’m not exactly sure what the game plan is tomorrow but I,m sure its gonna involve seeing some DC sights. None of us have really spent too much time here, so tomorrow is something to look forward to for all of us.

The show is later that night and then I’m not sure, but I think its straight back to NY after the show. I wish we could stay out a little bit longer, but all things begin and end at some point or another.

So once again I think that’s it for now. Hoping for some more sun tomorrow.

Pittsburgh, PA

So.. Thoughts on last nights show. Unbelievable. I managed to get some mshots from on stage, people were coming up on stage and dancing with us. It was awesome. The place was huge - beautiful. I wish I had more time to write more. We’ve got the day off but were traveling to DC. Gonna just do some stuff. I think we may split up and check out the different landmarks and museums that we want to see. I really want to go to the national air and space museum. All of us are pretty anxious on checking out the nations capitol.

The shows up until last nights have left us with so so crowds that have all really loved Pela. But last night the show was all ages and was the first show with a crowd of screaming girls before we even got up on stage. We were all psyched.

Tomorrows show in DC is the last night of the traveling part of the tour. Then Halloween at B61 in Brooklyn.. Home base so to speak. I’m really excited. I want Tom to get out of the shower. Ok he’s out… Maybe more later on the road today.

Holy Militia, Batman

10-25-06_1503.jpg

While innocently pulled over on the side of an Indiana road to relieve ourselves, a friendly local drove up to the van, stepped out to question our intentions, show off his head-to-toe camo fatigues and 8 inch rambo knife. Needless to say the situation went south requiring a rapid departure. Thank you for the hospitality.

Editor’s note: if you want more details, go to Brendon’s MySpace page and check out his blog
